If they wanted to skimp on fabric, it should have been used on the outside and bottom of the bag! Not on the interior where comfort is the main issue. All items can be inspected in-person (and you are encouraged to do so) prior to bidding.
It is water resistant, but not waterproof, and it stores extremely well. When it’s in the compression sack it comes with, it’s about 12 inches tall and 5 inches wide. I notice this isn’t the first review with this complaint. The zipper broke on my warm weather bag on the second night out. Too bad too because overall I’ve had good luck with Ozark Trail stuff.
The Ozark Trail 40-60F Sleeping Bag is highly durable, as it is lined with 100% polyester fabric both on the inside and outside. This polyester sleeping bag features two sleeping bags that can be zipped together. The zippers come along the whole length of the sleeping bag, ensuring you safety from insect bite or frost bite. This washable sleeping bag also has elastic roll-up straps that help you to fold and store it easily.
Day 2 …it was closer to 6 degree and I froze…I had to hike into town, replace the bag. I could have gotten better quality from a teenager’s home ec project and lighter weight. The bag is machine-washable and the lightweight design fits easily in both the washer and dryer. It’s easy to use, and has an inside zipper pocket, anti-snag zipper, full neck baffle, and ClimaTech fiber for warmth. It’s sort of fragile, but very good for backpacking. It is easy to get in and out of, since the zipper runs down to your feet.
I did a good bit of research before purchasing ours. Of course, I wanted something that would keep us warm. Mummy bags are very effective for keeping warm, but I am not comfortable in a confining bag. We bought two Ozark Trail 30-Degree Sleeping Bags.
