I hope my friends can take advantage of Wolf’s talents should they go on safari in Tanzania. In short, FIVE STARS all the way around. Feel free to use my comments for any public testimonials. We had several “National Geographic” moments, including a mother lion with 3 cubs, who was in the process of moving her family to a drier setting. We were able to watch her carry the smallest kitten (approximately 3 weeks old!), and see the other cubs follow her in the grass.
I also did the Zanzibar extension which was a great opportunity to relax by the schwinn electric bike beach and I learned so much during the stone town city tour and spice tour. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life, and I hope I will be able to return to Tanzania in the future. Gate 1 always provides great tours, and this one will stand out amongst the best of the best. The itinerary, tour director, coach drivers, local guides and rangers, and group were fantastic. I loved that you provided a welcome and a farewell dinner.
It was so much more than just the safari game drives and river excursions – though those were numerous and spectacular! Of course, we saw (up close) the Big Five and more! It is amazing to be directly within the wildlife’s own habitat. You are in the cage, and the animals roam free! At one time a lioness strolled by within 2 feet of my schwinn mountain bicycles shoulder.
Overall, another great experience in Africa and Gate 1 trip. I also like that he is English as am I and we have the similar culture and views in common. We always felt safe, despite the crime rate in the country evidenced by the security protections on most/ all buildings ! I would be very happy to travel with John again in Africa .
It is the buyer’s responsibility to pick up all purchased lots. Roller personnel is there to assist / locate items but not to verify all items have been picked up. We will attempt to assist with this, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the buyer.
He was usually the first vehicle in our group to reach the wildlife, and was able to maneuver for the best photo angles. He is the ultimate professional, being respectful of the guests’ needs, and was able to share what life was like for him and his family living in Tanzania. Thank you, Gate 1, for providing Wolfugan with a job that he obviously loves. I have recommended this particular tour to many of my friends, and I hope this generates some bookings for you.
He was always very kind, and I can’t say enough amazing things about him. I would come back and do it again if I could afford it just to have him as my driver again Pride was my favorite stay, but Lake Elementaita was great too. I just wish we could’ve stayed there another day also.
Climbing on big daddy dune, bush dinners and the game drives at Etosha National Park were the highlights. Silver was a great guide and provided us with useful information and interesting history. James was the driver and kept us safe on the drives.
Laurence, our tour director, was also great. He was very knowledgeable, organized, friendly, and took excellent care of all of us. The itinerary for this trip was also excellent.
