So next time you go camping instead of relying on a Walmart special, use your head. I just bought the 9’x7′ backpacking tent 2 days ago, because I want to do some bikepacking here in FL. It is easy to set up and take down, and I loved the fact that it has three windows for lots of circulation in the heat and humidity. The first time I got it set up was about that same day.
It rained so hard that, initially, we considered backing out. Any water that made it into the tent did so before the rain fly was attached. I had no problems with leaking after the fly was put on. We just bought this tent over the weekend and put it up. I really liked the way it looked and the space but will not be able to use it due to the leaks. One thing we love about Ozark Trail canopy tents are the accessories that can be added to the shelters.
Similar to the Ozark Trail cooler, the Pelican features orange wheel rims and also has orange clasp accents. You can get this cooler in three colors, Tan which is featured here, as well as graphite and white. The other two colors will have different rims and accents, so if you don’t love the orange you have options.
The Tungsten’s two brow poles create an especially effective awning over the tent door, so very little water gets in when someone comes or goes. Our only quibble with the Mineral King 3 is that it comes with only six stakes. (Our runner-up pick comes with eight.) Six is enough to secure the tent and fly but not to fully secure the tent’s extra lines in very windy conditions. Most of the reviews of this tent that I have read have been complaining about the waterproofing. While I have only had one night in this tent I had no problems in that department. After reading reviews here ozark trail canopy I guess I got the only one that was made right. Now circumstances have changed in my life and it looks like I’m going to have to rent a campground site for the summer and I only have this tent for shelter.
