The other tents in this guide all have bathtub-style tape-seamed polyester floors, which is the standard among high-quality tents. The Sundome’s tarp is clearly a budget material, but for what it was, we found it user-friendly. It’s easy to mop up after wet paws and spills, and it doesn’t hold moisture. Like the Mineral King 3, the Tungsten 4 has a mesh canopy, though the opaque polyester part of its walls go higher, and provide more privacy, than the Mineral King’s. I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! Every time we put some faith in these tents we got let down. Not sure what season our tents were but, we had to get 4 of them. I must say that nothing is waterproof, water resistant is a better term.

Adults over 6 feet tall will be able to walk upright inside this tent—which has almost-vertical walls that can easily accommodate beds, cribs, and cots—as well as in the vestibule. A full rain cover, two vestibules, and an extra-sturdy pole structure make this the best choice for couples who want to get outside in any weather. It’s pricey, though, and unless the other couples’ tents we recommend, it doesn’t include a footprint. The poles broke the first night on top caving the tent in. I feel bad that so many of you are having trouble with this tent. I have not had any trouble at all but we did lose the rain fly to ours (well, our son lost it!). I cant find replecement parts for this tent anywhere…only the poles (which I now understand after reading all the problems you all have had with the poles…maybe mine will go soon as well!. I just purchased this tent less than a week ago from Walmart to take a few days off to go fishing.
I have found that the seams of the tent do drip a little when it rains (after all machines put tiny holes in things when they are sewn together) it is nothing that cannot be fixed with a little time and patience. I bought a $3 bottle of seam sealer followed the directions and have not had a single issue with water since. It is an Ozark Trail Dome Tent that is a 4-person tent. I’m going to Coleman for now on because you are incapable of making a zipper that doesn’t break so damn easy on the door.
