Can this Ozark Trail tumbler compete against the Yeti Rambler?

The 22oz is what most people think of when they are envisioning a coffee tumbler. The size is well suited for any coffee drinkers hand and it holds just the right amount of coffee to keep you from going over board and maxing out on your caffeine intake for the day in one sitting. This tumbler is the perfect size for any cup holder and has a sleek design. They mention it fits perfectly in their cars cup holder, it performs as claimed and is just the right size.

Some say the vacuum design keeps hot or cold liquids for hours. For example, they mention it’s a great product, works just as well as a yeti or a rtic tumbler, and is heavy duty. Some say the results are fantastic and the cup is perfect for keeping cold drinks.

And no, I did not buy a Yeti cup…I bought an Ozark Trail insulated tumbler. I’ll be totally honest, I was not expecting this cooler to be as nice as it was. It’s easy to get caught up in brand perception and often times very difficult to break away from what you think you know about a brand. I ozark trail chair used the word “think” intentionally, because what I thought I knew about Ozark Trail was not correct. Ozark Trail is proving to be a really solid competitor for outdoor products. This cooler has a number of features that you would find on more expensive coolers and a few that you won’t find.

With a hard plastic latch, you run the risk of brushing by the cooler and hitting your shin, which I have done and is awful. One of my favorite features though is the rubber wheels vs. the hard plastic wheels on the Pelican and Yeti. Not only will the rubber allow for a slightly ozark trail canopy smoother roll when you are pull this cooler along, but it will also be quieter. You won’t wake the neighbors up when you are pulling this down your dock. Rounding out the exterior is a lid that features 4 cup holders and inch notches for measuring your catch of the day.

But there are things that can come in the way that may prevent us from sipping that warm beverage, like an urgent staff meeting. During those instances, you’d really want to have a tumbler that can keep your coffee for a long time. There are many tumblers available but two stand out for the quality of their construction, durability, and function. Here’s the Ozark Trail vs Yeti Tumbler review which explains it all. The vacuum chamber in a double wall vacuum sealed thermos prevents that convection from occurring and greatly increases the duration that your drink remains at the desired temperature.

It is made with stainless steel with vacuum-insulated walls designed for regulating ambient liquid temperature. With a price point below $10, you are able to get 4 of the 32oz Ozark Trail Tumblers for a price that is comparable to 1 of the competitions 30oz tumblers, which to me is a huge win. I imagine this is because of the vacuum seal; however, the directions for the Yeti tumblers say they can be put in the dishwasher, including the lid.

It is very much capable of keeping your coffee and tea hot for an extended period. I used the weeding tool to remove all of the vinyl I didn’t want transferred onto my tumbler. I then cut around the design so I could save as much of the vinyl scrap for future use as possible. Not only is the Ozark Trail line of thermoses BPA free but they are also rust proof and feature a sweat-proof design. Using a thermal imaging scope from ATN, I filled one of the 22oz mugs with water boiled to 185 degrees Fahrenheit and another filled with water boiled to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

Unfortunately, like most all water bottles and tumblers, they are made in China. While it cannot be denied that the Yeti Tumbler is a great tumbler for keeping beverages cold or hot for an extended period, it is also hard to deny that it is pricey. Finally, I added the vinyl to a piece of transfer tape to make adding the design to my tumbler MUCH easier. We are committed to finding, researching, and recommending the best products.
