Best Shark Cordless Vacuum Cleaners of 2024, Tested and Reviewed

The powerful Dyson Outsize Cordless Vacuum excels at picking up pet hair, has up to 60 minutes of run time, and features a large dustbin for longer, uninterrupted cleans. In our hardwood floor testing, the Shark Stratos AZ3000 picked up all of the Cheerios, coffee grounds, rice, flour, and pet hair we set out. On carpet, it only left behind trace amounts of flour, the best you can expect with that tough material, and powered through all the other substances.

We were impressed with the battery runtime on this cordless vac—it powered off on its own at the 25-minute mark, even though the battery is only slated for a 15-minute lifespan. You can pick it up midway to redirect it or have it go over another part of the area for cleanup, but otherwise, this is a hands-off vacuum. It even re-docks and empties itself—later, shark handheld vacuum just push a button to remove the canister to dump out the contents easily. If you have a lot of home to vacuum, you’ll want a model with good runtime. But overall, this is a trusty cleaning machine that’s made cleaning easier and faster for me. After roughly a year of regular usage, it’s still a beast of a vacuum, in all the right ways.

As we’ve mentioned already, knowing which type of vacuum to choose can end up leaving you confused. However, considering the type of property you have will help you shark handheld vacuum decide. Brighter evenings and blossoming trees mean spring is well and truly on its way. Now’s the time to dust off your garden furniture and freshen up your home.

This cordless stick vacuum employs Shark’s anti-hair-wrap tech to remove hair from the brush roll as you clean, saving you a particularly tedious job. If the Floor One S7 Pro sounds too techy—or too expensive—I recommend the iFloor 3. This older Tineco model lacks edge cleaning on either side of the motorhead, but it cleans efficiently and quietly. While it’s technically not a smart device, it does have a backlit LED display with visual alerts for battery level, power mode, and brush roll tangles. It will also let you know if the dirty water tank is full or if the clean water tank is empty.

The Dyson and Tineco models all have bin volumes of about 0.6 liter, which is fairly common across the category. Our alternate budget pick, the Moosoo XL-618, has double that capacity (1.3 liters) so you’ll need to empty the bin less often. The width of the test bed is proportional to the vacuum’s nozzle width, which we measure ourselves. We also use shark stick vacuum nozzle width, plus the flooring type, to calculate the soil density for each test, per International Electrotechnical Commission guidelines. The IEC is a global standards body responsible for managing testing procedures, among other things, for vacuum manufacturers. Smaller vacuums are easier to maneuver but they often give up power and bin capacity.

It offers a solid 38-minute run time and recharges in four hours, similar to the Dyson V12 Detect Slim. It doesn’t generate as much power as a flagship cordless stick model like the Dyson V15 Detect. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a poor performer, as its fluffy finned brushroll sits close to the ground to improve surface agitation. There’s a crevice tool for cleaning tight spots with a slide-on dusting brush and a combination upholstery tool/hard-bristle brush for cleaning furniture and dealing with stubborn dirt. It’s very similar in feel to most similarly-designed Shark stick vacuums, with a body mainly made from a dense plastic, a high-capacity dustbin that sits below the wand, and an aluminum wand.
