The legs extend to give the top peak a height of about 8’10” which will be plenty of headroom for anyone underneath. Around 2010, when Beau got out of the military, we took a lengthy road trip across the country and through Colorado, Utah, Arizona and back up and east through Wyoming and South Dakota. Because this was the time before cell phone cameras (at least those worth anything) and Google Photos, when our computer crashed in Colorado we lost many early photos from that trip. But, those that remain include this shot of our magical camping spot south of Moab, which we found down a dirt road far south of town after showing up and finding every campsite (and hotel room) in Moab booked.

From a positive perspective, the lightweight design increases portability which is certainly important in carrying the tent to its intended location.
We found this model to be slightly more comfortable and easier to pack than other, similar chairs. The Renetto Original Canopy Chair, a cleverly designed specialty seat, is ideal for anyone who wants sun protection and doesn’t mind a heavier, bulkier chair. Despite the Renetto’s weight, our testers found it easy to carry and simple to set up and adjust. We discovered that even though most testers had not previously considered a shade-equipped camp chair, once they used one they appreciated the comfort and convenience of built-in sun blocking.
From a negative perspective, the weight is indicative of a lack of high quality material and components used throughout the shelter. The included carrying bag does not have wheels ozark trail wagon to aid in transportation, but at only 29 lbs. We don’t find that to be a noteworthy drawback as the nylon handles and shoulder strap work just fine in carrying the tent.
We think the REI chair functions better and will last much longer than the similar chair from Walmart. But the price difference is significant—and after six months of near-constant outdoor use, the Walmart chair was still in decent shape. If you are looking for an ultracheap choice, the Walmart chair is one. The Chair One is rated to hold up to 320 pounds, versus 250 pounds for the Flexlite and for the third chair we tested, the Alite Monarch Chair (the latter chair is no longer available, as Alite went out of business in late 2019). The GCI Outdoor chair also has a pocket built into the back that can hold a phone or a book. This chair comes in green or blue and is rated to hold up to 250 pounds.
We’re just deeply committed to arugula and everyday greens & veggies. One, a temporary solution that we’re holding onto for now, but housed us for the first few weeks on our land before our final tent arrived. Having had such success with our Ozark Trail Blackout Tent, we decided to try one of their other models—the yurt tent. It was fine, but in retrospect, I would have just purchased another Blackout model.
