It’s compact and has a low-profile standup charging station that holds the vacuum upright and has space for the included tools and accessories. If you’d like something even smaller, look at the eufy HomeVac H11, though it doesn’t have a charging station or an accessory rack. So this year when I moved into a new condo and gave up my garage, I needed one to clean my car interior without busting out the big Craftsman Shop-Vac. I chose a Shark Wandvac, mainly because I trust the Shark name and had just purchased an upright Shark for my home. Here’s my experience after several months of happy ownership.
For those with a cord, the cord can vary in length from 6 to 25 feet, depending on the model. The 0.45-quart dust cup allows this vacuum to capture plenty of dirt shark pet vacuum and hair. Whether it’s used for a quick cleanup in your car or for reaching tricky spaces in your home, this is a small vacuum with enough suction for most jobs.
The Dyson V7 and Shark WANDVAC have different strengths and weaknesses, which is normal for vacuums with different intended uses. The Shark is a dedicated handheld vacuum for spot cleaning that feels sturdier and lighter, is easier to maintain and store, and clears more debris on bare floors. The upright/handheld Dyson is better for clearing large sections of the floor due to its larger dirt compartment, longer continuous runtime, and broader selection of tools and brushes. Spills are unpredictable, but you can make sure you’re ready for them with this dustbuster® 12V MAX AdvancedClean™ Cordless Hand Vacuum. Its high-performance motor was built to provide 3X more suction power. While messes are not usually enjoyable, they can be made easy to clean up with this vacuum’s extra-wide nozzle that was designed to accelerate the tidy-up process.
The Shark WANDVAC is a poor fit for workshop cleaning, though that’s a long way from its intended use case. It doesn’t have the necessary debris capacity to handle bulky workshop debris like wood or metal shavings, and it will be damaged if you use it for cleaning up liquid spills. Match your car to your style with varied car accessories like seat covers, floor mats and more.
We have not tested them, but they appear to be well suited for cleaning up the type of metal debris that you’d find near a workbench and that wrecks some regular hand vacs. In our guide to shop vacs, we do recommend shark stick vacuum two full-size models, which are a better fit for more heavy-duty jobs. We considered the Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro+ but were put off by its poor airflow and suction, as well as its six-hour charge time.
