Schwinn Adult Coston Ce 27 5″ Step Through Hybrid Electric Bike Charcoal L

It’s easy to see the affordable quality when you see a Schwinn. It’s still lower than many mountain bikes making it easier to get on and off, especially on awkward spots on the trail. A small, easy to use console is on the left side of the handlebar.

A nice addition might have been estimated remaining mileage, speedometer, etc, but perhaps Schwinn will consider those options on later models. Go up to 45 miles on a single charge, depending on conditions with the 313-watt hour rack mounted battery. Recharge schwinn ebike in 4 hours with a standard household outlet and included charging cable. After a basic tutorial of how the bike works (I’d read the material online in the past), they suggested going around the block or across the street to Piedmont Park for a test drive.

I spend most of my time on dirt roads in assist level 2 in 2nd or 3rd gear. For the big hills it was a quick shift to the nice, easy first gear. This super casual e-bike keeps its battery mounted in the included rear rack, and uses a pedal-assist and throttle drive system with a max speed of 20mph. Its 288 Wh battery is internally housed in the downtube and can power the Marshall for 35 miles per charge (which takes just 4 hours). The motor is a 250W brushless geared hub drive motor, and you can control all the power from the 7-function LCD controller. 7-speed trigger shifters offer smooth gear changes, mechanical disc brakes deliver all weather stopping power, and the aluminum frame provides lightweight durability.

We have spent over a century building the bicycle industry into what it is today, and we’re not done yet. Schwinn e-bikes are available for purchase right here on the Schwinn website! Schwinn e-bikes are also available through Dick’s Sporting Goods, where select models are available for an in-store test ride.

That’s a big difference when you’re picking up the bike to turn it around or put it on a car rack. Once I rigged up my kids’ old trailer into a cargo trailer, I could transport even more from the grocery store. Suddenly I was spending hours if not days less time in my car, and more on a bike. I won’t pretend that exercise was a factor here — the e-bike schwinn ebike does 95% of the work for you — but I’ll argue with any doctor that some peddling is better than sitting on my butt in a car. A 7-speed transmission from Microshift also adds to the commuter street-cred, giving those in hilly areas the ability to run through the gears on hills. Climbing a hill at the lowest gear setting available, without battery power.

I’d like to see an ebike have a powered tail light so I don’t have to remember to test the batteries. I’m assuming with the design it’s tough to power anything on the back without a rack. The 250 watt motor could be bigger for this bike to use the throttle regularly and give a better boost on hills. Turning takes a little bit to get used to as it is a little more top-heavy than a regular bike with the battery. The up and down are mostly for adjusting the pedal assist levels up and down.

Without knobby tires, the Marshall isn’t going too far into mud or snow, but it is great for easier trails and dirt roads. My testing has been done on gravel roads and wet, muddy trails at around 5° C with a bit of snow on the ground. The middle power/enter button turns the bike on while holding it. The battery has to be on before turning the bike on which got me the first time I tried. All in all, this bike offers good performance and quality for its price. Overall, the bike is pretty similar to its 26-inch wheel model.

Level 1 throttle tops out at around 10 mph while level 5 will give you the full 20 mph. As reviewed, the bike didn’t have much in the way of storage, but other models have a rear rack and even storage in the seat. Speaking of the seat, it’s not the most comfortable I’ve ridden on, but that’s easy enough to replace with a third-party seat if you like. Aluminum cruiser frame provides lightweight durability with a vintage-inspired look that never goes out of style. Plus, the comfortable upright riding position makes riding a delight.

The only time you’ll ever need to balance power output would be if you were planning on doing an entire 20 miles without charging. For commuters and people who run errands, that’s not always going to be the case. Ride schwinn beach cruiser up to 20 MPH with the 250-watt pedal assist hub motor that gives you a boost while you pedal. With 2.6″ tires, you’ve got a lot of air and rubber under you to tackle more than just well-manicured bicycle lanes.

To take the battery out of the bike, use the included key to release it, then plug the charger into the battery and then into the wall. The way I viewed it was that I ride bikes for exercise, so why would I ride one that does most (if not all) the work for me? Even the term e-bike sounded gimmicky enough for me to want nothing to do with them — it’s like how everything these days comes with the label of smart.
