Ozark Trail Sun Shelter Camping Shelters and Tarps

The only reason I bought a new tent was for more space, which this tent provided at a resonable price. Setup was typical for this size tent – definitely a two person job. We planned on camping for a week and ended up only camping for five days because of the ozark trail sleeping bag tent’s incapacity to keep us dry. I bought this tent and was very dissatisfied, two off the poles snapped right where they connect in the silver part. I would not recommend this brand to anyone. This is the first time to use this tent so it was brand new.

They claim they are weather tested, but I feel they don’t include rain or wind as elements of the weather. I could make a better shelter out of cardboard boxes and scotchgard. We have ozark trail sleeping bag never been able to sleep in it and makes a poor storage room. I am 67 yrs old and have used Ozark Trail tents for years, but this covered screen dome turned out NOT TO BE A TENT.

I can attribute these problems mostly to the constant use and age of the tent really. The cup holders seem ridiculous, since food should never be taken in a tent. I always put a large tarp over my tent, so I stay dry whether the tent leaks or not. I had ozark trail sun shelter a small 4 by 6 tent that everyone laughed at when we went camping.

The Ozark Trail instant sun shade was incredibly easy to put up and even easier to take down. This will be coming with us to the beach and any sporting outings where we will be exposed to the weather. We used this tent a few times and lost the rain fly, first time we used it rained and didn’t have problem but the zipper broke and got stuck. The second time we used I can’t find a new rain fly anyway. We bought this tent maybe 4 years ago they shouldn’t discontinue a line so fast. That upsets me because they know if you can’t get new parts you will buy a new one, not right or eco friendly.

I have pitched the tent twice in my back yard and found that I could pitch it by myself in about one hour. I watersealed the seams, as per the instruction sheet inside the carrying bag but I have not been rained on yet. It sucked the trip the camping everything because the damn zipper broke and I got beast up on by mosquitoes and bugs. My experience is buy Coleman equipment not yours. I had purchased the item about eight months before getting to use it.
