Before I get into all the cons with the bike, I will first tell about the pros. The most obvious pro is the price, this bike is very cheap and affordable for what you get in the box and for most purposes of daily commutes to the store or to work, it will do perfectly. So far I have owned this bike for close to a month, so I will tell my thoughts about all the pros and cons I have found.

Three-mode Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM) provides unmatchable acceleration from a stop by electronically controlling engine output to minimize rear wheel-slip and front end lift. KLCM allows the rider to launch from a stop with hyper bicycles the throttle held wide open. This system allows riders to set engine braking according to preference. When the system is activated, the engine braking effect is reduced, providing less interference when riding on the circuit.

If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, tune in around the 22-minute mark for where the fun really starts, and enjoy footage of a ‘Busa used for “woods riding,” with glorious, long sheets of roost being chucked by that pancaked rear knobbie. Complementing the engine’s strong power and the dog-ring transmission, a contactless-type quick shifter enables quick upshifts for seamless acceleration. The KQS enables clutchless downshifts for quick and smooth deceleration.

They bolt up a 52-tooth sprocket to make the bike more manageable in the dirt. The bike needs off-road tires, so they figure out how to mount knobbies to the Hayabusa’s wide rims, using ratchet straps to squish the tire onto the rim, and also dabbling with pyrotechnical techniques… with varying success. From there, hyper mountain bike we see some Dremel work on the fairing, a homemade crash cage mounted and a homemade skid plate bolted underneath. The trellis frame provides the strength to harness the incredible power of the supercharged engine and the balanced flex to achieve optimal rigidity and pliability for aggressive sport riding.
