It has a nice twist throttle to make starts easy and variable power settings so it isn’t always all power all the time. On flat terrain it isn’t necessary to use power as it has a 7 speed Shimano. The regular price is amazing but when it’s on sale it’s outrageous that I got all this for less than $1000!

Yet, I am noticing lately my battery draining by one bar after only 5 miles usage. Another problem is condensation gets in the display module during hot humid days but, it eventually burns off. Overall operation runs fine mongoose bmx and on peddle assist I can run it up to almost 28 mph however, it doesn’t take long until the battery starts losing its charge by a few bars. I only got caught in a storm moment once at the last 1/4 mile to home.
Then on other models, they will adjust the frame size and keep the wheel size the same. We’d take a standard bike like this little girl has and switch to smaller wheels (say 20 inchers on a bike typically made for 24s), allowing for a lower frame but keeping the length from getting ridiculous. Those wheels would not be standard spoked wheels but some kind of cast or molded form (similar to what BMX bikes have done). My favorite feature of the Chopper was the gear selector that made it seem like this bicycle was actually a car, which is what we as elementary schoolers really wanted anyway. Sure, anyone could spend $5000 for a lightweight e-mountain bike and not worth about getting stuck on some rock or roots but most rarely ever go off-road even when buying that $5000 bike. I have one of the best mountain bikes ever built and it’s only been on trails two times. The other “downside” is its range, though, I’ve never run out of power while riding. I pedal a lot without the power, using it on uphills only. With two, 40 miles would be easy even if using mostly with the power on with hardly any pedaling.
