Best Schwinn Electric Bikes 2023 ~ Gadget Review

It’s easy to see the affordable quality when you see a Schwinn. The 250 watt motor could be bigger for this bike to use the throttle regularly and give a better boost on hills. It’s still lower than many mountain bikes making it easier to get on and off, especially on awkward spots on the trail. I like how the Marshall is a bit more upright than a standard mountain bike but in a better position for standing than a cruiser. Turning takes a little bit to get used to as it is a little more top-heavy than a regular bike with the battery.

So to offer a full-size electric bike with otherwise nice commuter features yet with such a small battery is a bit surprising. With just 288 Wh of capacity, the battery surprised me, and not in a good way. Sure, I’ve seen plenty of e-bikes with 288 Wh batteries before.

It’s just that they’re usually on smaller, lightweight e-bikes that push the needle considerably less on the scale. That being said, the small-ish 250W motor isn’t going to be a powerhouse on hills. The bike accelerates fine on flat ground, but you’ll definitely need to add some leg assist if you’re going to be climbing tall hills. The Schwinn Coston CE is very much a commuter electric bike, but it’s not one of those thin-wheeled messenger e-bikes. In general, if purchased on the Schwinn website, your new bike will be shipped within hours of being ordered and should arrive within 7-10 days.

This usually equates to a max speed of around 20 miles per hour. This speed is perfect if you’re looking for an electric cruiser bike. The 250-watt rear hub motor on the Schwinn Mendocino allows it to reach 20 miles per hour. Even better, it has a throttle function, so you can use it to go back home in comfort exactly like a tiny electric motorcycle.

Now, the Healy Ridge bikes are not what we’re used to seeing when it comes to electric mountain bikes, but they are perfect for beginners. Mechanical disc brakes help provide plenty of stopping power, whereas one of the standout features is the rear rack which has a 55lb. There are no fenders or a rear rack on the Marshall, which is one of the biggest differences between schwinn dealers this Schwinn electric bike and the Schwinn Coston electric bike. Overall, given the fundamental shift I have seen in my personal bike riding habits this past summer, I very much enjoy having an e-bike. The Coston e-bike is a good example of that in a much more approachable price range than some others. The LED controls are nice, but also missing some functionality.

Putting the Marshall together takes about 30 minutes and isn’t difficult. It might take you a bit longer if you aren’t familiar with ebikes.
