The majority of their sleeping bags feature a super soft liner that ensures you are warm and comfortable throughout the night.

It has everything you need to enjoy the outdoors, be it an extended camping trip in the mountains with family or a solo day trip to a hiking ozark trail sleeping bag trail. We have stayed nicely warm while sleeping in the cold in this bag. Rated for 30-degrees, we have slept in it down to 13.

I used this bag from February of 2002 to June of 2002 on the Appalachian Trail, and I still have it. The first night out it was less than 14 degrees F, and I had at least 50 nights under 40 degrees F. I can’t say I was warm, but I wasn’t shivering, freezing, or cold either, although I did wear 2 layers of clothing.

All of them have a built-in battery pack and several ports that you use to charge your portable gadgets. The bag is machine-washable and the lightweight design fits easily in both the washer and dryer. I think the expensive bags are just marketing and overengineering, unless you are going to the arctic. You can buy an expensive bag if you think it will make you more hardcore, but I will gladly tell everyone how hardcore you are if you pay me to do so.

The bag, by itself, is not very warm at that temperature. We layer a blanket between the sleeping pads and the sleeping bags for some extra ozark trail canopy insulation. When it is very cold I also use a comforter over the sleeping bags. We wear warm clothes to sleep in, including a beanie.
