We appreciate that the frame has been made of tough steel, as this ensures that it will stay stable throughout moderate winds. With the help of the provided stakes and guy ropes, you can stake it down, so it remains secure. You never know what kind of weather you may encounter but try not to pitch it if you know it will rain. Even so, the roof openings have hoods over them, so there’s no easy way for water to leak through. A couple of elements make it standout from a regular shelter, like the upper vents in the roof and the upgraded all-steel structure.
However, once on the ground, their roller bags make it extremely easy to pull them over concrete, dirt, and grass. The Eureka Tagalong scored slightly lower but still boasted an impressive score. The included carrying bag does not have wheels to aid in transportation, but at only 29 lbs. We don’t find that to be a noteworthy drawback as the nylon handles and shoulder strap work just fine in carrying the tent. The canopy fabric is made of a lightweight denier polyester, offering water resistant features and 50+ UPF, which we love. Being protected from the suns harmful UVB rays is probably why you wanted a canopy tent in the first place, and this Ozark Trail tent meets all criteria in this department. The one complaint we have is that there is no vents in the fabric at the peak to release the build up of hot air under the canopy.

We think this is the biggest standout in relation to how different this model is to others on the market. While this model isn’t anything ground-breaking by any means, it’s still not oversimplified, and the vents are a prime example of that. I won’t have much time in Nassau to shop and I heard that everything (except conch) costs significantly more there than in the US.
