Meet farm animals and get a glimpse of rural life at the Kensington Metropark Farm Center. Take in the sights, smells and sounds of life on the farm as you interact with live farm animals like chickens, goats, sheep, cattle and draft horses. Seasonal public programming is available year-round, including festivals, maple sugaring, sheep shearing and a you-pick pumpkin patch. The baskets are only in the ground for a short time each year, so try to get a round in when you can. At 10,210 feet, this champion-level par 63 course has a mix of large elevation changes and tight fairways that will test every shot in your bag. Bring a spotter because it has long holes and punishing rough.
In any season, Kent Lake presents plenty of opportunities to cast your line on the shore or from a boat. Bass, bluegill, northern pike, black crappie and yellow perch are all here waiting for you. Parts of the Huron River, toward the north end of the park, also provide shady, secluded locations for casting your line. We have a partnership with American Sailing Institute who work to provide an enjoyable, safe, hands-on educational environment while teaching the tradition of sailing. Roadway will be narrowed to single-lane and approximately 18 parking spaces will be temporarily removed, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm, through July 14, 2023 to facilitate bridge rehabilitation. Single-lane Brooklyn-bound south outer roadway will be closed from Saturday 5 am to Monday 5 am, and Monday to Friday from 5 am to 7 pm. Single-lane Brooklyn-bound south inner roadway will be closed Monday to Friday from 10 am to 3 pm. Single-lane Manhattan-bound north outer roadway will be closed Monday to Friday from 7 pm to 5 am and single-lane north inner roadway will be closed from 8 pm to 5 am. These closures are necessary to facilitate Structural Strengthening. A route full of stunning vistas, wilderness, heaths, rivers, lochs, castles and beaches, a challenge to inspire you when pedalling the longest day.
Suggested parking is the van accessible parking spaces and utilizing the accessible walkways on the side. There are also some restrictions on fishing locations along shorelines near the main recreation area. Throughout the park, you’ll find observation and fishing decks providing easy access to open water.

Kent Bikes are not designed for heavy off-road use and may not be suitable for high-performance cycling. They are best suited for recreational riding, commuting, and light off-road use. Kent Bikes are equipped kent hybrid bike with either rim brakes or disc brakes. Disc brakes are more effective and offer better stopping power, especially in wet conditions. However, rim brakes are easier to maintain and less expensive.
