A collection and delivery can be arranged with prior notice as can a loan bike. A new partnership with SPIN, an electronic bike and scooter service, will provide 100 electric bikes and 100 electric scooters within the city of Kent. The e-bikes and e-scooters will be available to the entire Kent community. We had a great day ride from the base near Staplehurst, covering 50 miles in a big loop via Goudhurst. There are loads of quiet lanes, interesting villages and lovely scenery. The trick is to find a friendly pub who will recharge the batteries over a leisurely lunch!

Alongside the 27-inch Kent Electric and Kent Step-Through Electric, the Cruiser is more of a unisex offering and is available exclusively from Walmart. Having not ridden Kent’s new e-bike (yet, but hopefully that changes), it’s hard for me to judge it too hard on the spec kent electric bike sheet alone. But for the $1,498 price, it’s at least an interesting addition to a slew of Walmart e-bikes that so far haven’t taken a shot at such higher-end (or perhaps even midlevel) markets. It can be a good option for those that want the utility of an electric bicycle but don’t have a lot of spare cash. The Kent Electric Cruiser’s 350W rear-hub motor was more than capable on the flat roads and bike paths around my home, easily reaching and staying at 20 mph. But when the bike was kent electric bike pointed uphill, the performance was much less impressive. With me pedaling and the power assist at maximum, my speed frequently dropped down into the single digits on steep hills.
